BIPOC Birding Club of Wisconsin

You belong here!

We acknowledge that the land we are on today is part of the traditional lands of Indigenous peoples including the Potawatomi, Menominee, and Ho-Chunk. Past, present, and future caretakers of these lands and waters include the Ojibwe, Peoria, Sauk and Fox, Oneida, Mohican, Brothertown, and other Indigenous peoples. The BIPOC Birding Club of Wisconsin respects the sovereignty of these Nations, and the other Tribal Nations that reside in the place we now call Wisconsin. Birds hold culturally important relationships to many Tribal Nations, and we hope to learn how to take better care of our avian relationship through learning from the leadership of Indigenous people.

Thank you to the Southern Wisconsin Bird Alliance (formerly Madison Audubon), Wisconsin Metro Audubon Society, the Natural Resources Foundation of Wisconsin, and NOCS Provisions for your support of the BIPOC Birding Club of Wisconsin!
